Super special – low season rates for the following Asilia itineraries for travel up until 31 May 2021! This includes peak travel times for the wildebeest migration August through October 2020, the Christmas / New Year period, and high season January through early March, 2021!
Of the below safaris one stands out as a real winner, especially for first time safari goers… the Kenya / Tanzania combo includes 3 nights in the Masai Mara, 3 in the Serengeti at a mobile camp that follows the migration, 3 in Ruaha which offers more of a southern African safari experience (cool to do after doing the first two spots) and then ends at the beach. Perfect.
The other trips leave some things to be desired and I wonder if the packages were designed to get people into camps that normally don’t see a lot of traffic. As examples on the Kenya Classic not many people would choose Ol Pejeta as a top spot… on the Tanzania Classic North it is almost perfect except we would rather see a camp that follows the wildebeest migration in place of Dunia (a great property but it doesn’t follow the wildebeest). On the Tanzania North to South trip again there is no specific wildebeest migration camp – and the migration is the #1 reason people visit East Africa! The Tanzania Serengeti and Chimps includes a migration camp but then ends at Rubondo where the chimp experience is not great… for chimps rather go to Greystoke Mahale or Rwanda / Uganda for that matter.
Pricing is in US dollars, is per person, and does not include international flights which may add US $1,000 to US $2,000 per person in economy depending upon where you are flying from, airline, and routing.

“I first visited Africa in the late 1980s. I came face to face with a wild elephant, and fell in love with being on safari! I made it my goal to create an African travel company that was all about authentic wildlife experiences. Many years later we are one of the top African travel companies in the Americas – known for arranging custom safaris to East and Southern Africa; personal trips, no cookie cutter stuff.”
