The rainy season has started in Cape Town and Day Zero has been scrapped!

Some perspective:

Cape Town’s water situation is similar to California’s… each year in the USA we hear about summer drought conditions and water restrictions in California – but then the winter rains come and the news moves onto other stories.

April is the start of Cape Town’s rainy season and, even though dam levels are still very low, Cape Town officials feel that with the newly falling rains, new water supplies coming online (undergound resevoirs and desalinization plants), and water conservation, Day Zero will be avoided this year.
