Back in the early 1990’s I ran into a learner guide named Beks Ndlovu at Singita Pamushana in Zimbabwe… both of us were just past 20 years of age! A few years later I ran into Beks at Ruckomechi Camp in Mana Pools and he had earned his Zimbabwean pro guide license – this extremely difficult process can take upwards of 7 years and the Zim pro guide license is considered to be Africa’s best… the highest standard of guiding in Africa.

Fast forward to 2019 and Beks, who is now considered by many to be one of Africa’s top safari guides, runs African Bushcamps – an independently owned African – based safari company with camps in Zimbabwe, Botswana, and on the Zambian side of Victoria Falls.
